Sketch of the day - I’m trying to work out my character style. This bloke just popped into my head.

The new sketchbook. An open book. A blank page.

I’m hiding behind this page. I don’t really want anyone to read this, but nonetheless, I’m putting it out into the world. One eye open, the other squeezed shut - I’ll just hit publish.

I’m really just here to explore…

Other people’s work.

And my own brain - to see where rambling along (without overthinking) will take my drawings.

It’s definitely not a creative journey

A friend recently shared her dislike of the phrase ‘join me on my journey….’. This newsletter is not a journey. I won’t be packing (journey essentials) a thermos of tea, jam sandwiches or fig rolls wrapped in tin foil.

It’s very likely to be short, maybe even short-lived. Let’s call it a once-a-week hello from me.
